Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use LocalPix (the "site") at ae-localpix.pages.dev. The short version: your images are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to us.
1. Images and files are processed locally
All image tools on this site, including the compressor, resizer, converter, cropper, rotate and flip tool, Base64 converter, colour picker, QR code generator and background remover, run inside your web browser using JavaScript and the HTML canvas. The files you select, drag in or paste, the text you enter for a QR code, and the results you create are handled in your device's memory. They are not transmitted to our servers or to any third party, and we cannot see them. Closing or refreshing the page discards them.
2. Information we may collect
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may automatically record technical data when you request a page, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of request. This is used for security, reliability and aggregate statistics.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and message content, and we use them only to respond.
- Local storage. The tools remember your last settings (for example quality, output format and colours) in your browser's local storage on your own device so you do not have to set them again. If advertising is enabled, your browser may also store your advertising consent choice. We do not use local storage to store your images, and these values are never sent to us.
3. Advertising, cookies and third parties
The site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. These cookies may include the DoubleClick cookie. Advertising partners may also collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and ad interactions. They do not receive your images, which never leave your device.
Ads appear only when advertising has been enabled on the site. Where required by law, such as for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads and non-essential cookies are loaded only after you give consent through the consent notice.
Opting out of personalised advertising
- Manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
- Learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Opt out of many third-party vendors through aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative. Visitors in Europe can use youronlinechoices.eu.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or decline in our consent notice. Note that you may still see non-personalised ads.
4. Cookies
The tools themselves do not require cookies. Cookies or similar identifiers may be set by our hosting provider for security and by advertising partners as described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California privacy law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data held about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not receive your images and keep little personal data, most requests will concern server logs or email correspondence. Contact us using the details below.
7. Data retention and security
Server logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider's standard retention allows. Emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request. The site is served over HTTPS.
8. External links
Pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
